This is a simple tool to take in an SRT file, as well as an optional word-replacement dictionary file, and replace some of the words in dialogue with translations.
The idea is that this can aid you in learning a new language, by reminding you of words you have learned, in a somewhat relevant context. It also prompts you to listen for the words in the original dialogue, which can help you develop an ear for the language.
The settings for 'difficulty' can be used to create various levels of translation.
A difficulty coefficient of 0.1
will only use the first 10% of the dictionary
file.
Dictionary files should be of the format:
word1: translation2 word2: translation2 word3: translation3
For the difficulty coefficient to work properly, words should be added to the dictionary in the order you'd like to learn them.
Since you are lazy and pathetic and undeserving of love, you may have my dictionary files that I use. Unfortunately I am also lazy and so they aren't very good. I intend to force my friends to make some instead. If you make a dictionary file that you think is cool, you can send it to me and I'll put it here.
